An entrance exam means an exam process for getting admission into various undergraduate, postgraduate, or professional degree courses in a university or institute.

Nowadays, the entrance exam is one of the most important exams for every student's career. Without cracking the entrance exam one can not get any admission to pursue higher education. To get admission to a specialized degree of your choice, you have to clear the right entrance exam according to your choice of course.

Entrance examinations are different depending upon the type of course such as the engineering entrance exam, medical entrance exam, management entrance exam, etc.

  1. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE): The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance examination conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in India. This entrance examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

    This entrance examination was started and conducted for the very first time in the year 1960. At that time this entrance examination was named Common Entrance Examination (CEE), which later in 2010 it was re-named as Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

  2. National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET): National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), is the entrance test for admission n MBBS, and BDS seats across India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts this entrance test.
    The students who are interested in medical courses must have physics, chemistry, and biology/ biotechnology as their compulsory subjects in classes 10th and 12th, and they must have passed all of these subjects. 

  3. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE): Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) is a national-level test organized for students who want to get admission to a Master's program or post-graduate engineering (ME/M.Tech). It is a national examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science(IISc), Bangalore, and the seven Indian Institute of Technology at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)- GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
