About Physics

Physics is the part of science that deals with the structure of matter and how the fundamental constituents of the world interact. Issac Newton, Albert Einstein, and Galileo Galilei are known as the father of physics and Marie Curie is known as the mother of physics.

Issac Newton is the father of physics, Albert Einstein is considered the father of modern physics, and Galileo Galilei is considered as the father of Observational Physics.

      a) Issac Newton gave us the law of gravitation and three laws of motion, they are: -

  1. Objects in motion stay in motion unless acted upon by an external force,
  2. Force is equal to the product of mass and acceleration,
  3. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

      b) Albert Einstein gave us:

  1. Theory of relativity,
  2. The mass-energy equivalence formula (e=mc^2),
  3. His discovery of the photoelectric effect.

      c) Galileo Galilei gave us:

  1. Telescopic confirmation of the phases of Venus,
  2. The discovery of Jupiter’s four largest moons (Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto),
  3. His observation of sunspots.

In physics, a student can study everything in physical existence, from the littlest subatomic particles to the entire universe.

Physics is vital for its basis for the latest technology, and therefore the tools and instruments used in scientific, engineering, and medical research and development.
